CLEVELAND - A theme is quickly emerging this season in men's cross country.
Kent State earned its third Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week award in as many races after junior John Minen won at the Ohio Invitational Saturday (Sept. 26).
Minen led a host of KSU runners, finishing the 8k race in 25:31.5. The Golden Flashes took home six of the top seven spots with senior Aiman Scullion taking second (25:35.9) and senior Tony Jordanek finishing third (25:44.3).
Scullion won MAC Runner on the Week honors Sept. 8 after finishing first at the Tommy Evans Invite while junior Scott Hilditch earned the award Sept. 22 after his third-place finish at the prestigious Iona Meet of Champions.
The Kent State cross country teams return to action Friday, Oct. 16 when they travel to State College, Pa. for the Penn State National Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
