Kent State student-athletes will be facing off in a battle of song and dance for the 8th annual Jock Jams on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the KSU Student Center Ballroom. The competition involves all Kent State teams lip syncing and performing to their favorite songs.
Teams are evaluated on five criteria: creativity, lip syncing, originality, crowd enthusiasm/participation and time management. Performances cannot last longer than seven minutes. Extra points are awarded if the team convinces a coach to participate.
The winning team is awarded a trophy and a spot on the Jock Jams plaque in the Office of Academic Services in the M.A.C. Center. Field hockey is the reigning champion.
Presale tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased now at the M.A.C.C. Ticketmaster office. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. For more information or to buy tickets, call the ticket office at 330-672-2244.
