After a big win over Western Michigan on Halloween, nine Kent State football players got an extra treat on Monday as they made the short trip to Tallmadge to visit the Family Child Learning Center.

The players visited two different classrooms with children ages three and four. After reading, playing and snacking with the kids, the group went outside to the playground where the players autographed posters and invited the children to the final home game.

“The experiences we shared with the kids did not end after we left the learning center -- they will be in our hearts forever,” said junior wide receiver and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president Leneric Muldrow. “They will always give us something to play for, and we are looking forward to going back again soon.”

Family Child Learning Center is an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of children with developmental concerns and their families.  This was the second visit the team made this year with a third planned just in time for Christmas.
