After missing nearly all of last season with an ankle injury, Jameson Konz slides from starting tight end to H-back this fall...when healthy, he is an impact play-maker that can line up all over the field...coaches are counting on him to stay healthy.

2008 Senior Season
Was redshirted after injuring his ankle in the season-opener against Boston College Aug. 30...made a pair of grabs for 12 yards before suffering the injury.

2007 Junior Season

Appeared in all 12 games, getting the start in nine...helped lead a defense that was third overall in the MAC...registered 43 tackles, 22 solo, as well as five pass break-ups from his linebacker position...recorded 3.5 TFL for 18 yards, as well as 2.0 sacks for a loss of 16 yards...had a career-high seven tackles (six solo) as well as a sack against Iowa State Aug. 30...against Kentucky on Sept. 8 had 2.0 TFL for 14 yards and 1.0 sack for a loss of 13 yards...recorded six stops against Central Michigan Oct. 27...was a game captain against Buffalo Nov. 24...earned the Matt Ramser Award at the conclusion of spring practice for best exemplifying the qualities of "courage, dedication, attitude and commitment"...also presented with the Leo E. Strang Student-Athlete Award as the upperclassman with the highest cumulative grade point average.

2006 Sophomore Season

Started every game but one for Kent State at outside linebacker...collected 34 total tackles; 19 of which were solo stops...also recorded five tackles for loss - the total loss accumulating to 22 yards...recorded a career-high six tackles (four solo) at Buffalo on Nov. 4.

2005 Freshman Season

Played in all 11 games and made one start as a true freshman...started first career game played at Michigan State Sept. 3...totaled 13 tackles, eight solo, on the year...also had 1.5 tackles for a loss...had a season-high five tackles against Southeast Missouri State Sept. 10.

Prior to Kent State

Was an All-Federal League and honorable mention All-Northeast Inland District performer at Lake High School...played both offense and defense for the Blue Streaks...scored eight touchdowns in his career, catching 28 passes as a junior and 14 as a senior for a total of 671 yards...was coached by Jeff Durbin.
