Prior To Kent State Last fall as a senior at Pulaski Academy, set state season records for passing yards (5,310, which also led the country), attempts (625) and completions (396) en route to leading the Bruins to a 13-1 record and the 5A state title...earned MVP honors in the championship game...also rushed for 296 yards and seven more scores playing for head coach Kevin Kelley...recipient of the Lander's Award as the Arkansas Player of the Year (voted on by the media)...garnered Offensive Player of the Year accolades from the Arkansas Democrat and ArkansasSports360.com...a two-time all-state, all-conference and all-metro selection, he threw for 4,768 yards and 51 touchdowns as a junior, totaling 10,076 yards and 121 touchdowns his final two seasons...also lettered in basketball and track, averaging 18.5 points a game as a junior on the hardwood while finishing seventh in the state in the 300-meter hurdles his sophomore year...coached by Kevin Kelley.
