The Office of Academic Support Services in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to the academic success of the student-athletes at Kent State University. The student-athlete must accept primary responsibility for his/her academic and career decisions; however, the special needs and concerns of the developing student-athlete’s academic and personal adjustment and growth are our top priorities.

Our staff operates as a support unit to other academic and student services offices on campus in assisting the student-athlete to identify and refine academic goals and objectives, in understanding what alternatives are available, and in abiding by and accepting the consequences of decisions and actions.

Our goal is to provide clear and accurate information regarding institutional, conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, and resources.
