Weekend Confirmation

Dear Women’s Athletics Weekend Guest,

 

Below is information that will be helpful as you travel to the Kent State campus for the Women’s Athletics Weekend events October 8-10.

 

Tickets will NOT be mailed for any of the scheduled events. You and your guests’ names will be included on each event’s reservation list. You may pick up your event credential and apparel order (if applicable) at any of the three (3) registration locations listed below. If you ordered football tickets you can pick them up at the Athletic Director’s Welcome Reception, on Friday; otherwise, they will be placed at Will Call at the west entrance of Dix Stadium under your name.

 

Official Weekend Registration Locations:

Friday, Oct. 8: Athletic Director’s Welcome Reception in the Phelan Varsity “K” Room (north end of Dix Stadium)

Registration: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

 

Sat., Oct. 9: Lessons From Legends Panel in Room 204, 2nd Floor, Kent Student Center (KSC)
Registration: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

 

Sat., Oct. 9: Women’s Athletics Luncheon in the Ballroom, 2nd Floor, KSC

Registration: 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

 

 

We hope this is an opportunity for you to reconnect with former teammates and coaches, so we encourage you to bring pictures and other memorabilia to share throughout the weekend. Also, Jostens will be onsite on Saturday for anyone that would like to order letter blankets, Varsity "K" rings and pendants.

Please keep in mind that these events fall on Homecoming Weekend, so campus traffic may be heavier than usual and some roads may be closed temporarily for specific events. A good rule of thumb is to use the Summit St corridor to campus.

Ohio vs. KSU Field Hockey: Murphy-Mellis Field Hockey Stadium at 1 p.m. #

Eastern Michigan vs. KSU Women’s Soccer: Zoeller Soccer Field at 3 p.m. #

   Parking: Field House lot (east side of Dix Stadium)
   Attire: Casual

 

Campus and Athletic Facility Tour: Departs from Phelan Varsity “K” Room at 3 p.m. and will end by 4:15 p.m.

   Parking: Field House lot (east side of Dix Stadium)

Athletic Director’s Welcome Reception: Phelan Varsity “K” Room, 4:30 – 6 p.m.

Women’s Basketball Alumni Game: MAC Center at 10 a.m.

   Parking: Student Center Visitor lot (located off Risman Dr)
   Attire: Casual

 

Homecoming Parade Viewing and Hospitality Tent: Williamson Alumni Center (WAC), 10 – 11 a.m.

   Parking: Terrace Hall lot, Music & Speech lot and White Hall lot. Handicap parking only at the WAC. 
   Traffic Plan: Rt 59  from Midway Dr to Franklin will be closed from 9:45 – 11:30 a.m. to clear the parade route.
   Attire: Casual

   Parking: Luncheon guests are encouraged to remain parked in the Student Center Visitor lot and take the shuttle to the stadium. If you are not attending the luncheon check out our game day traffic plan and plan to arrive early, the game will most likely be sold out.
   Attire: Casual

SUNDAY, OCT. 10

KSU Softball Alumni Game and 1990 World Series Team Reunion: Diamond at Dix at 11 a.m.

Missouri State vs. KSU Field Hockey: Murphy-Mellis Field Hockey Stadium at noon #

   Parking: Field House lot (east side of Dix Stadium)
   Attire: Casual

# Complimentary refreshments will be provided in the Jim and Carolyn Phelan Varsity “K” Room for

guests and family during the field hockey, football and soccer games. All of these athletic venues

are located in the Dix Stadium complex.
