Arguably the finest on-campus golf facility in the nation, the
Ferrara & Page Golf Training & Learning Center provides
Kent State men’s and women’s golfers a state-of-the-art
training site in their pursuit of excellence on the golf
course.
The outdoor portion of the facility includes a 350-yard practice range with parallel practice tees, four bent grass target greens with green-side bunkers and swales positioned to simulate different distances, a 10,000-square foot putting green, short game practice area, a practice fairway and both natural grass and Astroturf tee areas.
Inside – and protected from weather – heated hitting
bays will allow golfers to hit shots to all of the outdoor target
greens. Additionally, a 3,000-square foot practice green and
chipping area, plus a video room and net area for swing analysis
will allow players to work on their game year-round. Team locker
rooms, an exercise area, meeting spaces, academic area with study
carrels, computers, printers, and offices for the coaching staff
are also located inside the building.
The building’s entrance and lobby leads to All-America,
Academic All-America and “Wall of Champions” galleries
which showcase and acknowledge past Kent State champion men and
women golfers while presenting a graphic depiction of the tradition
and high standards of excellence exhibited by the KSU program. In
addition, in the rafters of the indoor putting area, hang banners
recognizing the 17 men’s and 10 women’s Mid-American
Conference Championships.
