2012 Jock Jams Fundraiser Nets Close To $2,000
KENT, Ohio – The 10th annual Jock Jams
fundraiser took place infornt of another enthusiastic crowd on
April 17 as Kent State student-athletes displayed their singing and
dancing skills in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer
Society and Walls Elementary School.
With nearly $2,000 raised this year the event was again a huge
success.
Taking home the championship this year was the Women's Track &
Field/Cross Country team followed by Football and Gymnastics.
The event showcases each athletic team as they compete before
the public and a panel of judges for the annual Jock Jams trophy,
which is awarded for the most creative and original performance.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) organizes the annual
fundraising event sponsored by Kent State Athletics.
