Coming off a program record 11-win season, Kent State's next journey begins Thursday, Aug. 29, hosting Liberty at 6 p.m. inside Dix Stadium. The Golden Flashes return five All-Mid-American Conference players from a team that went 8-0 in league play and made its first bowl appearance in 40 years. The head coaching debut of former Kent State defensive back Paul Haynes can be seen on ESPN3.

The Series
Kent State won its only meeting with Liberty in 2004 at Dix Stadium. Josh Cribbs completed 20-of-29 passes for two touchdowns and ran for 105 yards and a score on 13 carries in the Golden Flashes' 38-10 victory.
