You Can Own A Piece Of "Flashes" Basketball History

KENT, Ohio – The Golden Flashes Club is offering Kent State fans a chance to own a unique piece of the men's basketball team's history.
On Saturday, the Golden Flashes will wear a never-before-used jersey when they host the arch-rival Akron Zips at 6 p.m. at the M.A.C. Center.
Instead of the traditional "Kent State", these jerseys will feature the word "FLASHES" across the chest.
The "FLASHES" jerseys will be retired after Saturday's game and professionally framed. The cost of the mounted jerseys will be a $1,000 gift to the Golden Flashes Club.
"These jerseys are part of a special one-time-only uniform made just for this game against Akron," said Kent State coach Rob Senderoff. "They have never been worn before. They will never be worn again after Saturday. It's a great opportunity for Kent State fans to own a game-worn jersey. This will be the first and last time anyone will see these jerseys. It is also an opportunity for fans to support men's basketball at Kent State."
The $1,000 gift to the Golden Flashes Club will be used to assist in funding several Kent State Men's Basketball priorities.
Because of the size of NCAA men's basketball rosters, number of available jerseys is limited.
The Golden Flashes Club has already made the jerseys available to a select few supporters of the men's basketball program, and based on the early demand, the remaining jerseys are expected to go fast.

In addition to Saturday's game, the Golden Flashes will host Northern Illinois at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as part of their current two-game home stand. Tickets for the game against the Huskies are also available now at the M.A.C. Center Ticket Office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
