Men's T&F Wraps Up Final Day of Spire Invitational

Geneva, Ohio – The Kent State Men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Spire Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.
Sophomore Jonathan Grant and freshman Samory Fraga each came away with top five finishes in the long jump. Grant finished second at 7.11m (23' 4"), while Fraga finished fourth at 7.06m (23' 2").
The Golden Flashes also took second and fourth in the triple jump, with Donovan Tolbert (15.1m, 49' 6.5") taking second and Craig Stevens Jr. (14.9m, 48' 10.75") taking fourth.
Jesse Oxley placed third in the pole vault at a height of 5.03m (16' 6"). In the shot put, Micheal King finished tenth with a heave of 17.31m (56' 9.5").
With a time of 7.85, William Barnes took second in the 60m hurdles. Senior Jacob Swords set a season-high in the 800m run with a time of 1:51.48, taking sixth overall. In the one mile run, senior Grant Onken finished 15th with a time of 4:16.93.
The Golden Flashes return home for the Kent State Tune Up on Saturday, Feb. 20.
