• Started all 12 games at cornerback

• Finished third on the team with 73 tackles (56 solo)

• Led the team with 11 pass break-ups and was fourth in the MAC with 12 passes defended

• Forced three fumbles

• Had nine stops, three pass break-ups and a fumble recovery against Miami Sept. 26

• Recorded second career interception Oct. 10 against Bowling Green

• Made 12 tackles (eight solo), three pass break-ups and forced a fumble in season-finale against Buffalo Nov. 27

 

2008 Freshman Season

• Participated in 11 games at defensive back, starting back-to-back contests against Akron (Oct. 4) and Ohio (Oct. 11)

• Earned distinction as team’s Defensive Rookie of the Year

• Piled up 22 tackles and an interception in rookie campaign

• Recorded first career pick at Bowling Green Nov. 1

• Made six stops on Nov. 18 against Northern Illinois

• Also returned six punts and a kickoff

• One of eight true freshmen to earn a varsity letter

 

Prior To Kent State

• Recorded six interceptions and returned a pair of punts for touchdowns at Hargrave Academy

• Washington Post All-Met and All-Sentinel selections after recording 62 tackles, a pair of interceptions and over 1,000 yards of total offense his senior year at Watkins Mill High School

• Coached by Robert Prunty at Hargrave and Ivan Hicks at Watkins Mill
