Day 10 of the spring practice for the Kent State football team featured a modified scoring jersey scrimmage pitting the offense versus defense.
The defense prevailed for Golden Flashes on Saturday earning them the right to wear the home blue jerseys in all future practices. Better yet is the feeling from the coaching staff that overall the team is farther along and in better position on both sides of the ball than where they were at this point of the year last season.
The team has four days of practice schedule for next week before ending the spring season next Saturday, April 21 with the annual spring game. Kick off the game is set for 2:30 pm and will follow a FREE youth football clinic which takes place from 1-2 pm. The instructional clinic is open to all youth that are associated with a youth football organization.
Participants must pre-register before the 21st and no high school age students are permitted.
For more information on the April 21 youth clinic Call Dennis Watson at 330-672-8830. Check in starts at 12 and goes until 12:50. The clinic will then run from 1 pm - 2 pm.
Season tickets for the 2012 Kent State football season are available through the Kent State Athletics Ticket Office at 330-672-2244.
