Flashes Name 2011 Captains

The Kent State football team recently named its captains for the 2011 season as voted upon by coaches and players.  Both the offense and defense will be led by three seniors:  center Chris Anzevino (Warren, Ohio), running back Jacquise Terry (Phenix City, Ala.), wide receiver Sam Kirkland (Chesapeake, Va.), cornerback Josh Pleasant (Germantown, Md.), defensive end Lee Stalker (Butler, Pa.) and linebacker Kyle Reese (Olmsted Falls, Ohio).

The Golden Flashes open their season Saturday, Sept. 3, at Alabama.  Kickoff is slated for 12:20 Eastern and can be seen on the SEC Network.

The Mid-American Conference Football Preview Show will air on SportsTime Ohio Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 11 p.m. to midnight.  It will re-air Thursday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
