Kitchen Selected to Play in All-Star Game
Kent State senior nose tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen (Youngstown, Ohio) has been selected to play in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz., on Jan. 16. Formerly known as the Eastham Energy College All-Star Game (Tempe, Ariz.), the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game is the first of four college all-star games this season and will include Division I players from all over the nation.
Kitchen, a 330-pound force in the middle of the line helped the Golden Flashes finish 21st in the nation in total defense.
Kent State was well represented at the game last season, when linebacker Cobrani Mixon made eight tackles, the second most by any player in the game.
The all-star game will be televised on Fox Sports Arizona and its affiliates.
