Prior To Kent State

• Two-time second team all-conference pick at Mason High School

• Helped lead team to conference co-title in 2006

• Coached by David Sedmak

• Was also a standout wrestler, pinning opponent to win state title as a senior to finish the year with a 45-1 record

• Posted a 38-8 record as a junior and was a state qualifier after finishing second at sectionals and third at districts

• Compiled a 22-14 mark as a sophomore
