General Information

No. 25 Kent State (11-2) has accepted an invitation to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl, marking the program's first bowl appearance in 40 years.  The Golden Flashes will take on Arkansas State Sunday, Jan.6, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

 

After winning a program record 11 games, Kent State will be making its third bowl appearance, while looking for its first bowl victory.  The Golden Flashes went to the Refrigerator Bowl in 1954 and the Tangerine Bowl in 1972.  

 

Mid-American Conference teams (Northern Illinois, Miami, Central Michigan) have won the GoDaddy.com Bowl in each of the past three seasons.  This year's game kicks off at 9 p.m. and will air on ESPN

Where can I watch the game if I'm not going to the bowl game?
Kent-area Golden Flashes fans can watch the game at Water Street Tavern in Kent, the official watch party location for Kent State Athletics.
