Field Hockey Announces Play 4 The Cure Game This Sunday
Golden Flashes to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer
Awareness
KENT, Ohio – October is the official Breast
Cancer Awareness Month of the National Susan G. Komen Foundation
and in the field hockey community it is also Play 4 the Cure
month. The Kent State field hockey program will take part in
the nationwide initiative this Sunday when the team hosts Missouri
State at 12:00 p.m. at Murphy-Mellis Field.
As part of the movement to support breast cancer awareness, the
Golden Flashes will don pink warm-ups and other pink
accessories. In addition the team will be accepting monetary
donations that will go directly to The Susan G. Komen Foundation
for breast cancer research and awareness.
The field hockey team encourages fans to wear pink to the game in
support of the Play 4 the Cure program.
