Kent State Field Hockey To Welcome 10 Newcomers for 2012
Kent State field hockey head coach Kathleen Wiler has announced the addition of 10 newcomers who have inked a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Flashes program as freshmen in the fall of 2012

Kent State Field Hockey Begins Spring Competition At Home On Saturday
Spring is in the air for the Kent State field hockey team which begins the competition portion of its spring workouts at home this Saturday against Ohio State and Central Michigan. The Golden Flashes are then on the road April 7 & 14 before returning home to host their Annual Alumni Weekend on April 21.

The Golden Flashes had another strong season in the classroom this fall as proven by the nine student-athletes named to the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA National Academic Squad. The list includes four-time winners, Carla Johl & and Chelsea Sickel

Wiler Receives Four-Year Contract Extension
The Kent State field hockey program is assured to be in the well placed hands of Head Coach Kathleen Wiler for the near future. Director of Athletics Joel Nielsen has announced a four year contract extension which will take her through the 2015-16 academic year.

Johl and Lee Highlight Seven Golden Flashes On Academic All MAC Team
The MAC announced its 2011 Academic All-MAC Field Hockey selections this afternoon with senior Carla Johl and sophomore Rebecca Lee representing Kent State on the first team. Five other Golden Flashes received Honorable Mention status

Kent State Foursome Captures All-MAC Honors
Kent State was represented by four individuals on the 2011 All-MAC team as the league office released its 2011 postseason awards as voted upon by the league coaches. Earning honors were first team selections Carla Johl and Rebecca Lee along with second team selections Debbie Bell and Julia Hofmann.
