Men's Basketball 2012 Summer Camps Coming June 25-July 1

Come join Head Coach Rob Senderoff and the Kent State men's basketball staff at our 2012 summer camps!!!

The Golden Flashes will be hosting three camps the week of June 25-July 1.

Day Camp June 25-29, 2012

Emphasis:
Day Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball with a specific emphasis on individual improvement of shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense.

Time: (There are two sessions available)
9:00am – 12:00pm (kids entering grades 2-6)
1:00pm – 4:00pm (kids entering grades 7-10)
**Check in will be 30 minutes before the start of each session on Monday June 25**

Grade
:
Morning session – entering grades 2-6
Afternoon session – entering grades 7-10

Cost
:
$100 per camper

*Sibling Rate:
$100 for first camper and $90 for each additional sibling

*Group Rate:
$100 for first group member and $90 for each additional camper (must be 4 campers or more)
*In order to receive the sibling or group rate, registration forms MUST be sent in together


Lunch:

There will be NO LUNCH options for the campers due to the separate sessions.

Team Camp June 30, 2012

Time
:
Games on Saturday, June 30 will begin at 8:00 am and finish at 10pm.

Grade
:
Varsity and Junior Varsity accepting grades 9 – 12

Cost
:
$225 per team


Games
:
Teams will be guaranteed 4 games.

Officials
:
The team camp is run with collegiate and high school refs from the local Akron area. Each game will be officiated by a two-man crew.

Elite Camp July 1, 2012


Time
:
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

 
Grade
:
Entering grade 10 and up
 

Cost:
$30.00

Dinner
: Will be provided at the camp's conclusion.

Emphasis:
The elite camp will focus on individual skill work with the Kent State coaching staff. The primary focus will be on improving skill with instruction customized for your position.

Point Guards
:
Ball Handling, Dribble Moves, Shooting, Passing, and Defense.

Wings:
Shooting, Dribble Moves, Shots off the cut, Passing,
and Defense.

Posts:
Getting Open In The Post, Rebounding, Passing, Mid-Range Shooting,
and Defense.
