• Rated No. 206 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings
• Was Kent State’s top finisher at the NCAA Championship tying for 38th with a 223 (81-69-73)    
• Tied for 19th at the NCAA East Regional with a 222 (74-71-77)
• Finished third at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate (Apr. 23-24) with a two-under 211 (71-70-70)    
 

2009-10 Freshman Season

MAC Freshman of the Year 

• Competed in 11 events laying 34 total rounds 

• Had a 74.4 scoring average for the year, including 73.3 during the spring season 

• One of only three players on the team to play in all nine spring events 

• Had a career best T-4th finish at the NCAA East Regional with a three-under 206 (67-68-71) 

• His 206 is the second lowest individual NCAA regional score in school history (Jon Mills; 202, 2000) 

• The last guy on the course for KSU, he chipped-in for birdie on No. 18 to move KSU into a tie for the East Regional title.   
 
Amateur
• Took home an eight-stroke victory at the 2010 Portage County Amateur 

• Won the 2008 Northern Ohio PGA Sectional Qualifier by nine shots with a 142 (73-69) and finished second at the Ohio Junior Public Links.  

Prior to Kent State
• A three-time First Team All-Ohio selection, he led Garaway High School to state championships in 2007 & 2008 

• One of just 11 players ever to win back-to-back individual medalist honors at the Ohio high school state tournament when he accomplished the feat as a junior and a senior 

• Improved his scoring average to 70.8  as a senior after averaging 71.2 as a junior and 72.5 as a sophomore 

• Won six of the eight tournaments he entered as a senior.
