Mens Golf Receives Academic Recognition From The GCAA
Golden Flashes named an All-Academic team for posting a G.P.A.
over 3.0
KENT, Ohio – In 2010 the Kent State
men's golf team won both the Mid-American Conference and NCAA
East Regional titles, but the course was not the only place in
which the program was successful. The Golden Flashes received
All-Academic Team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of
American (GCAA).
Kent State earned the recognition for having a team Grade Point
Average (GPA) of over 3.0. In addition the Golden Flashes
were one of just 10 teams to make the list out of the 30 programs
that qualified for the NCAA Championship this past June.
A total of 113 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher and earned
All-Academic Team recognition.
