Hahn Captures MAC Golfer of the Week Honors Following Third Win of the Year
Kent State senior honored for the 11th time in his career
KENT, Ohio – Kent State senior golfer John Hahn (Las Vegas, Nev./Hudson H.S. [Ohio]) was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week this week following his third win of the season which came at the Fireline Towson Invitational this past weekend. .
Hahn paced the balanced Golden Flashes shooting a one-under 215 (71-71-73) to win the sixth tournament of his career at the Fireline Towson Invitational this past weekend. Hahn wrapped up his second win in three events this spring as he claims medalist honors at the Fireline Invitational for the second time in three years. A two-time All-American, Hahn was the only player in the 91-man field under par for the tournament following rounds of 71-71 Saturday and a final round a one-over 73. His Sunday score led to a two shot victory as he held off Ben Hayes of Navy who also carded a 73 and Nyasha Mauchaza of Towson who equaled a tournament low with a final round 70.
The award marks the 11th time in his career that Hahn has been recognized as MAC Golfer of the Week.
