Kent State Women’s Basketball Falls At Temple
Llobet reaches double figures for the fourth time in the last five games.
PHILADELPHIA -- The Kent State women's basketball team fell to Temple, 68-33, in non-conference action Wednesday (Dec. 6) at the Liacouras Center.
Freshman guard Itziar Llobet (Sant Cugat de Valles, Spain) led the Golden Flashes (1-6) with 13 points, reaching double figures for the fourth time in the last five games. She also added a team-high three steals and a block on the defensive end. Playing in front of her hometown crowd and a large group of family and friends, junior forward Diamon Beckford (Upper Darby, Pa.) added nine points and a team-high five rebounds (two offensive, three defensive) and three assists.
Three players reached double figures for Temple (4-5), including a game-high 14 points from junior forward Brittany Lewis. She was joined in double digits by senior guards Shey Peddy and Kristen McCarthy, who each chipped in 13 points.
Kent State gets a 12-day break from game action for finals week, returning to the M.A.C. Center Sunday, Dec. 18, against Canisius.
