Wheeling Park High School wrestler Kyle Bauer has been selected as a Wrestling USA Magazine High School Academic Team All-American.

This is a very elite national team of 13 outstanding high school wrestlers from across the country.

Bauer's selection, along with the other scholastic wrestling All-Americans, were made after nominations from coaches, sports writers, and Wrestling USA Magazine editors.

Bauer, who received a scholarship to wrestle at Kent State, completed an undefeated senior season. He won an OVAC and state championship, and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at both of those tournaments. He finished his career at Wheeling Park with a 150-9 record.

The 2011 All-American Team will be nationally released in the May 30 issue of Wrestling USA Magazine.
