Prior to Kent State

• Placed eighth at Pennsylvania state tournament at 152 pounds

• Was a district and regional champion as a senior, finishing with a 36-8 record

• Went 28-10 as a junior with a fourth place finish at the district tournament

• Placed sixth at districts as a sophomore, completing a 30-10 season

• Grabbed a fifth place finish at district tournament as a freshman, concluding a 30-8 year

• Earned Inter-County All-Star accolades as a senior and honorable mention during freshman and junior seasons

• Was a three-time member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association All-Academic Team

• Was a member of three district championship teams at Westmont Hilltop

• The Hilltoppers won a conference title during his sophomore season and were ranked fifth in the state his senior year

• Earned 11 varsity letters at Hilltop: four in wrestling, four in baseball and three in football
