Kent State Volleyball Falls To IPFW

Larsen records team-high nine kills, four blocks

 

KENT, Ohio -- The Kent State volleyball team lost to IPFW, 3-0 (20-25, 24-26, 19-25), in the squad's final NCAA home non-conference match Thursday (Sept. 15) at the M.A.C. Center

 

Senior Maigan Larsen (Lancaster, Wis.) led the Golden Flashes (7-7) with nine kills and four blocks (four assisted) in the loss to the Mastodons (5-5). Junior Aleksandra Nowak (Damnica, Poland) posted a team-high 17 set assists. Freshman Jenny Buczek (Orland Park, Ill.) also finished in double digits with 12 set assists. Senior Brookie Zeigler (Parkman, Ohio) led the way on the defensive end with 11 digs.

 

The Flashes look to rebound quickly, taking on Delaware Friday (Sept. 16) at 5 p.m. in Pittsburgh at the Pitt Blue & Gold Tournament in the squad's final non-conference match of the season.
