Kent State Volleyball Drops Match To Delaware
Krupa totals team-high seven kills, three blocks.
PITTSBURGH -- The Kent State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-20) decision to Delaware Friday (Sept. 16) in the Pitt Blue & Gold Tournament at Fitzgerald Fieldhouse.
The Golden Flashes (7-8) were led on the offensive end by junior Kathy Krupa (Burbank, Ill.), who posted a team-high seven kills and three blocks (one, solo, two assisted). Freshman Abbie Fabo (Willoughby, Ohio) recorded a team-high 22 set assists and matched Krupa with three blocks (three solo).Sophomore Hannah Herc (Eden, N.Y.) and senior Maigan Larsen (Lancaster, Wis.) each recorded eight digs to lead the way on the defensive end.
The Flashes open Mid-American Conference play next weekend with a pair of home intradivision showdowns, kicking things off against Miami Friday (Sept. 23) and Bowling Green Saturday (Sept. 24). Both matches are slated to get underway at 7 p.m.
