Kent State Volleyball Falls To Ohio
Larsen totals 10 kills, reaches double digits for third straight match.
KENT, Ohio -- The Kent State volleyball team lost a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-21) Mid-American Conference East Division match to Ohio Thursday (Sept. 29) at the M.A.C. Center.
The Golden Flashes (7-11, 0-3 MAC) dropped their fifth straight three setter with the loss to the Bobcats (11-6, 3-0 MAC).
Senior Maigan Larsen (Lancaster, Wis.) tallied a match-high 10 kills to reach double digits for the 14th time in 2011 and third straight match. She also matched sophomore Hannah Herc (Eden, N.Y.) and freshman Bridget Grdina (Mentor, Ohio) for the team lead with eight digs. Sophomore Aleksandra Nowak (Damnica, Poland) led the team with 23 set assists and recorded a match-high two set assists.
Kent State looks to get back on track Saturday (Oct. 2) in its first conference road match of the season at Central Michigan. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
