Kent State Volleyball Loses To Ball State

Aderemi-Ibitola, Krupa lead Flashes with seven kills apiece

 

KENT, Ohio -- The Kent State volleyball team fell to Ball State, 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-15) Saturday (Oct. 15) in a Mid-American Conference interdivision match at the M.A.C. Center.

 

The Golden Flashes (8-15, 1-7 MAC) lost their third straight match.

 

Freshman Tinuke Aderemi-Ibitola (Ellicott City, Md.) and junior Kathy Krupa (Burbank, Ill.) led Kent State with seven kills apiece. Sophomore Aleksandra Nowak (Damnica, Poland) totaled a team-high 12 set assists. Freshman Bridget Grdina (Mentor, Ohio) tallied a team-high eight digs.

 

The Flashes begin a five-match road swing next weekend with two interdivision matchups, visiting Northern Illinois Friday (Oct. 21) and Western Michigan Saturday (Oct. 22).
