MUNCIE, Ind. – Amare Hall won his second outdoor long jump title in a row and Linkon Tyrrell pulled away from the competition in the decathlon as Kent State continued competition at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday.
TOLEDO, Ohio – Ciaran Caughey struck out seven over six innings, and a three-run fifth inning erased a two-run deficit, as Kent State defeated Toledo, 4-3, Friday afternoon at Scott Park to clinch the series. The Golden Flashes improved to 40-12 overall and 24-8 in MAC play, earning the program's 13th 40-win season in program history and fourth under head coach Jeff Duncan.
KENT, Ohio – Kent State Athletics continued its remarkable academic excellence during the Spring 2026 semester, with student-athletes achieving a 3.435 term GPA and a 3.419 cumulative GPA across the department. The Golden Flashes placed numerous student-athletes on the Dean's List and President's List, with every team posting a cumulative GPA above 3.0.
